The scholarship offers continue to roll in for Warren (Ohio) Harding running back Daniel Herron, including the two he received this past week, one from Michigan then one from Ohio State.
"I went to Michigan's camp for a day," Herron said. "It went great. I went on Monday and they offered me. Coach (Lloyd) Carr sent me a text message. He told me to call, and when I called I got an offer."
Herron then went to Ohio State's senior advanced camp on Friday, and close to the same thing happened.
"At Ohio State, I got a text message after camp saying I had a great camp and the Buckeyes would like to offer me. It said it would be an honor to have me as a member of their football team."
Herron now has offers from nine schools.
"Out of my offers Ohio State, Michigan and Minnesota are the ones I'm mainly looking at," he said. "Hopefully Penn State and Notre Dame come through.
"My top four are Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Notre Dame in that order."
If the Nittany Lions and Irish are going to offer they will probably have to do so soon.
"I'll decide in the next couple of weeks," Herron said.
The 5-foot-10 and 190-pound Herron rushed for over 1600 yards and scored 18 times during his junior season. Herron averaged over seven yards per carry.
