A big season for Aycock

Dontae Aycock knows one chapter of his football career is about to end and a new one is about to begin. Aycock, 5-10 and 190 pounds, is a four-star running back prospect from Tampa (Fla.) Chamberlain High School. He has put up big numbers for his high school team. So far he has rushed for over 1,046 yards and 21 scores and passed for over 1,100 yards and 11 touchdown passes. More importantly he has led Chamberlain to a 9-1 record. They will face Tampa (Fla.) Gaither and running back Jarvis Giles is the first round of the playoffs a week from Friday.
"I am happy with how I have played this season." Aycock said. "I just became the first player from my school to have over 5,000 total yards and I think I may have set the county touchdown record (50 touchdowns) for a quarterback. My coach is checking on that.

"I'm excited about the playoffs. We play Gaither again. We got them pretty good the first time."
Aycock and Chamberain faced each other earlier this season with Chamberlain winning 43-13. In that game Giles didn't play because of an ankle sprain.
Aycock has narrowed down his school list to four, although he has not set up any official visits at this time.
"I like Georgia Tech, South Carolina, West Virginia and Louisville. I just plan on setting up my visits for January and we will see what happens."
