A Big 12 offer for Florida LB

Jeremiah George is a prospect from Clearwater (Fla.) High School. George, 5-11 and 200 pounds, is undersized and underrated. Slowly, teams are starting to take notice. Earlier today, he received his second scholarship offer.
"Kansas offered," George said. "I was very surprised and couldn't believe my luck. I took a look down at my head coaches desk and saw a printed out version of a scholarship and I wasn't sure at first but, then once I began to read all I could do was smile."

How much does this Clearwater 'backer know about the Kansas program and what kind of interest does he have in the Jayhawks?
"Actually my chemistry teacher is a Jayhawk graduate so I know a lot about the school as a whole. As far as the football program I'm very impressed with the Big 12 conference and I'm even more impressed with how well Kansas plays in the conference each year. The Jayhawk defense was second in the Big 12 in points allowed.
"I'm taking every school very serious and right now Kansas has given me a lot to think about with this great offer."
So at this time George is very excited about the UK offer and he hopes to check them out at some point this recruiting season.
"Hopefully I can. I've heard great things about the University and I want to make sure if I were to commit there, I would be comfortable with the campus."
George recently took an unofficial visit to Central Florida. He came away impressed with George O'Leary's team.
"I took an unofficial visit to Central Florida to watch a scrimmage and I left very satisfied with the defense and what they brought to the table."
Tulane was George's first offer. UCF is showing him a ton of interest as well. Last season as a junior George recorded 94 tackles.
