60-Second Analysis: Rivals100 LB Alston Orji commits to Vanderbilt

Rockwall, Texas, four-star outside linebacker Alston Orji chose to announce his commitment to Vanderbilt on Tuesday night following his team's spring football game. He immediately becomes the top player in the Commodores' class. If he signs in February and remains in the Rivals100 he will be the highest ranked Vanderbilt signee in the Rivals.com era.

Orji has shown growth as a player this spring and earned an invite to next month's Rivals Five-Star Challenge presented by Adidas. A natural striker in the box, Orji is as physically impressive a prospect as there is in the 2018 class, and should be an affective addition to a tough defensive unit that re-established itself last season as a very capable group.

Orji is the top prospect at Rockwall High School, where his younger brother, 2019 LB/DB Anfernee, also attends. Orji chose Vanderbilt over offers from teams like Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas and others.
