5-Star WR Arjei Henderson talks OU spring game, remaining Top 2

HOUSTON, Tex. -- Arjei Henderson hasn’t been far from thoughts of Oklahoma coaches and fans even after his de-commitment and temporary pledge to Oregon.

On Saturday, with Henderson back in Norman for the Sooners spring game, even he knows at least a little attention will be kept on him - and he knows why, too. For now, he’s not going to let that overshadow his hopes for the experience.

“It feels good to be going back,” he said. “I expect it to be a big weekend up there, there could be some guys looking to make a decision out there this weekend, so I’m excited to see what happens.”

Henderson recently released an updated Top 3 that included the Sooners, Alabama and Texas A&M. Although there is a strong case to be made for why he might favor either the Aggies or Crimson Tide, he admits that Oklahoma has been the strongest and most consistent presence regardless of his commitment status.

“Just throughout this whole recruitment process they’ve been there through the Oregon commitment, and have always pushed for me,” he said. “I think Oklahoma pushes for me harder than any other team, I think that’s what stands out the most to me about them.”
