4-star RB Vaughn recaps offical to Notre Dame

Four-star Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl-Cohn running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn got his first look at Notre Dame over the weekend during his official visit to South Bend and the 5-foot-10, 200-pound back came away impressed.
"Everything was good," he said. "I like the campus a lot, seeing all the tradition and everything that goes along with Notre Dame is really cool and it's different than what you see at other schools. I liked hanging out with the players and the coaches are all pretty cool, too."

Vaughn was sharing his official visit with another Irish running back target, fellow four-star Dexter Williams, but said the Irish coaches were straightforward when it came to the situation.
"I sat down and talked with Coach Alford and he told me they have two guys on the roster, another one committed and they will take one more," Vaughn said. "They didn't put any pressure on me to commit and I don't know what Dexter is going to do so we will see how it plays out."
Vaughn went on the trip with his mother and sister and said that both enjoyed it as well. He added that he sees himself as a very good fit in the Irish offense.
"If I were to commit there it really wouldn't be much of a transition as far as their offense because we run the same thing," he said. "They said they would try to get me the ball anyway possible, especially early on."
Unlike some southern prospects, Vaughn said neither weather nor distance will play a factor in his decision.
"It's a little cold but I'm not worried about the weather or how far it is from home," he said. "I'm more concerned about the fit and everything was cool. I had a chance to hang out with the players a lot and we just had fun chilling and talking."
As of now, Vaughn said he has five schools remain on his list and he's planning on waiting until National Signing Day to announce a decision.
"Right now I only have five schools that I'm still looking at, Notre Dame, Purdue, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Illinois," he said. "I'm going to wait until Signing Day to make a final decision."
Vaughn is set for an official visit to West Virginia next weekend, followed by a trip to Illinois the weekend of Jan. 30. He will unofficially visit Vanderbilt on Monday.
