4-star RB to visit Memphis

Rivals250 running back Mark Dodson Jr. of Memphis Whitehaven will visit the hometown Memphis Tigers on Saturday, he told Rivals.com.
"They keep saying, 'There's no place like home,'" Dodson said.

While Dodson has been to Memphis before (he has a cousin on the team, his high school squad has practiced there, and he has attended camp on the campus), he said this is his first recruiting trip to the school, which is only about 20 minutes from where he lives.
According to Dodson, the Tigers, led by first-year coach Justin Fuente, have their work cut out. He currently has one Southeastern Conference team in front, and another one not far behind.
"Ole Miss is my leader, followed by Arkansas, Ohio State, Mississippi State and Tennessee," Dodson said. "I could see early playing time at Ole Miss. Also Arkansas. Ole Miss is showing me a lot more love than Arkansas right now. Ole Miss is recruiting me the hardest. Memphis is way behind."
That said, he plans to give the Tigers a serious look.
"I like Memphis, and representing my hometown," Dodson said. "But I've got to see improvement from them. I want to go somewhere and win."
Dodson claims double-digit offers. Syracuse was the most recent. Ohio State could be next, he said.
"We've talked and they told me they have six running backs on the board," Dodson said. "Coach [Tim] Hinton] said they would offer me. He just said to be patient and to call him Monday. I've talked to Ohio State about visiting. I'm looking at some dates."
Additionally, Dodson will visit Mississippi State on March 31.
