4-star defensive back Demetrious Cox of Jeannette (Pa.) continues to rack up the offers, but at the same time has decided to take the slow road with his recruiting process. Up to almost twenty offers, Cox is still working on scheduling visits and figuring out when he wants to make a final decision.
"Everything is good with recruiting," said Cox, who is 6-foot-1 and 192-pounds.
Cox already held offers from schools like Penn State, Ohio State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Michigan State, and added a few more recently.
"I also got offers from Purdue, Iowa, Eastern Michigan, Akron and Duke," said Cox, who has not taken any recent visits and does not have any current plans for visits or summer camps.
He does have a few thoughts about what he is looking for in a school and program.
"I'm looking for an opportunity to play, academics and a winning program," said Cox, who denies any current favorites.
When it comes time to making a final decision, Cox plans to wait until after his senior season and will likely take all of his official visits. In the meantime, he mentioned that Pittsburgh, Boston College, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State and Wisconsin are currently showing him the most interest.
While Cox may not be in any rush at this moment, he is enjoying the process and grateful for the position he is in.
"It feels really good," said Cox. "It's a blessing and really a dream to be recruited like this. I never thought I'd have this many offers by now."
