4-star DB T.J. Carter wants to see South Carolina again soon

The Latest: Class of 2017 four-star defensive back T.J. Carter has spent the past month focusing on his senior season but that hasn't stopped him from keeping an eye toward his fall schedule. Several schools continue to vie for Carter's services, including Louisville, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Memphis. After failing to visit several of those schools late in the summer, Carter said he's hoping to change that soon. Rivals.com caught up with him to talk about the Gamecocks and how they factor into his recruitment.

In His Words: "If they want me to come then I’m going to go. I want to get there for a game and see what it's like. I already went there and camped and I already had an offer from them going in.They said I did good and we’ve kept in touch. I want to go back for a visit, though and get the real campus experience. I like Coach T-Rob and we have known each other since he was recruiting me at Auburn. I really talk to Coach Bentley the most out of all the South Carolina coaches and he's really cool. He came out to Nashville for a satellite camp and we had a good time talking. I really like all the coaches there, Coach Muschamp, he has a great resume of producing defensive backs and quality defenses and I like that a lot."

Rivals Reaction: Carter was very high on the Gamecocks initially but it remains to be seen where he stands on the school's board following a summer of commitments. Either way, Carter figures to be busy with travel during the fall and when and where he visits could go a long way his predicting how his recruitment will play out.
