HOUSTON, Tex. -- Rivals100 defensive back Erick Young and four-star cornerback Bobby Wolfe both have Oklahoma as one of the teams included in their respective shortlist of finalists, but while the Sooners’ spring game is set to go off on Saturday, both will be on their official visit to Texas A&M’s instead.

Wolfe was briefly committed to the Aggies this spring for a few months following a visit to College Station in early February. Young also seemed enticed by the trip, but chose to leave things at that. However, the Aggies are still very much in the picture for Wolfe, and Young, by proxy.

“We’re a package deal,” Wolfe said. “Wherever he goes, I go. Wherever I go, he’s coming.”

“Yeah, we should be,” Young agreed.

The Sooners shouldn’t feel too put off by the pair’s decision. It was at the urging of defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks that Young set an official visit to OU for the weekend of September 8, when Oklahoma hosts UCLA early in the season.

For now, the focus is on the Aggies and giving both players a look at what the coaching dynamic will be under Jimbo Fisher.

“It’s a new coaching staff - a fresh start,” Young said. “That will be my first chance to see how they’re out there coaching their players, I don’t know what I’ll really be looking for, I’ll just know it when I see it.”
