3 visits on tap for Region

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Before he could get into the flow this week at the Under Armour All-American Game, Spencer Region first had to shake off some rust.
He hadn't been in pads for several weeks.
"My last game was the second week of November," Region said. "The only thing I've really done since I stopped playing was running sprints to stay in shape, and working out."
For Region, this week is all about football.
But following Wednesday night's game in St. Petersburg, the 6-foot-6, 330-pound guard prospect from Cullman, Ala., will shift back into recruiting mode. And on that front, Region has much to think about.
"On [Jan. 14] I believe I'm going to Louisville -- it's not set in stone yet," Region said. "LSU the next weekend, I believe it's the 21st. And then that next week I'm going to Wisconsin."
Region is open to taking more trips. The question is, who else might get visits? The answer: possibly two out of the following three programs: Auburn, Florida and Miami. At one time, Region was committed to Auburn, and he said Tuesday the Tigers remain in the picture.
"Yes sir, they are," Region said. "I've been talking and staying in touch. I still have my offer from Auburn, so of course they're still in the mix because I still love Auburn."
When asked which schools have tried to make a late push, Region replied, "I'd say probably Florida and Miami. Of course, I'd love to visit [them]. I have a feeling Florida's going to go back to more of a pro-style [offense]. And growing up, I used to watch Rex Grossman and the Gators. I've always talked about playing there. Then, I became an Alabama fan. But right now, I'm just looking around tying to make the best decision."
Region maintained he is "wide open right now."
"I'm gonna try and squeeze in as many [visits] as I can because I want to see everywhere before I make my decision," Region said. "I won't make my decision until signing day."
