3-star WR staying patient with UGA, Cincinnati

Despite being on the most productive receivers in the state of Georgia this season, recruiting interest hasn't spiked like three-star Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine prospect Brad Stewart would have hoped this fall. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound wide out isn't getting discouraged, though, he's staying patient and weighing his options.
"I'm getting a lot of calls from schools but most of serious interest I'm getting right now is from Yale," said Stewart, who is approaching 1,000 yards receiving and is averaging more than 100 yards receiving per game this fall. "The big schools are telling me to wait and they are still looking at me but we will see what happens."

Among the bigger schools talking to Stewart is Georgia, but the Bulldogs coaches have told Stewart that he's behind others on their board for the time being.
"Me and Coach Ball have talked a good bit about the situation there," Stewart said. "Basically they have put all the offers out on the table that they are going to put our and it depends on who commits and who doesn't. That's how a lot of the schools are right now. It's frustrating for me but who knows what could happen late."
Because of his exploits in the classroom, Stewart also has several Ivy League options. But if it came down to education vs. big-time football, Stewart already knows his choice.
"Of course the great education but at the same time I would love to play football at a big SEC school," Stewart said. "As of right now with the options I have it would be a possibility of going to the Ivy League."
One of the options that is become more attractive for Stewart is Cincinnati. The Bearcats offered Stewart earlier this year, and he's planning a visit to campus for the Houston game next month.
"We're going to go for a game and we might possibility turn it into an official visit but I'm not sure about that right now," Stewart said. "They have told me there is a spot for me if I want to commit but they have offered a couple wide receivers so they want to know something soon."
Stewart said he's developed a nice relationship with Bearcats wide receivers coach Blake Rolan.
"We've been talking for a long time," Stewart said. "They came and saw me back in the spring and then came again and that's when I found out I had an offer. I've gotten pretty close with him since then. They want me to come up and meet the offensive coordinator and the rest of the staff so we can talk about everything."
Because of the late interest, Stewart said he doesn't intend on making a decision until after the holidays. For the season Stewart has 49 receptions for 941 yards and 11 touchdowns.
