3-star West lands BC offer

Bartow (Fla.) defensive back Vontarius West recently picked up a Boston College offer after capping off a stellar senior season. West finished the year with 87 tackles and seven interceptions on defense. He scored four touchdowns, four different ways, one via an interception return, one at receiver, one on a kick-off return, and one on a punt return.
The versatile athlete has seen his recruitment heat up over the last couple of weeks. West said, "Miami is talking to one of my coaches. I'm planning to be in Tallahassee this weekend on an unofficial for the game against Florida."

The 'Noles are his dream school. He is not sure if an offer will come, but once his senior year highlights get out more offers could pour in.
When asked which schools are standing out?
He replied, "I have a top three of Florida International, Iowa State, and UCF. If FSU or Miami offers they will move to the top.'
The three-star said he likes the relationship with the coaches at FIU. His area recruiter is Cedric Calhoun and defensive backs coach Jeff Popovich checks in on him. The Golden Panthers are recruiting him the hardest.
Although he spends time at safety most schools want him to play cornerback. He is aggressive and has good instincts. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder shows great range and ball skills.
He is unsure when he will make his decision. Right now he wants to keep all of his options open.
