3-star Texas WR Kassidy Woods on Nebraska offer: "that was huge for me"

The Latest: Three-star Texas wide receiver Kassidy Woods has been reeling in offers over the past month, but no other offer caught his attention quite like Nebraska. The Huskers have jumped into the mix to land Woods with a lot of gusto and that approach seems to be paying dividends. Woods will be in town this weekend for a visit and Rivals.com caught up with him at the recent Dallas stop of the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas to get his thoughts on the Huskers.

In His Words: “When I got the Nebraska offer that was huge for me. Their fans have been hitting me up and showing me love and you can tell how badly they want to get top guys there. Plus it’s the Big 10 and that’s where a lot of big boys play and I was very excited to know that I might have that chance to play against them.”

On his relationship with the coaches: “I talk to coach Keith Williams, the wide receivers coach. He’s a real cool guy. He knows a lot of stuff. His twitter bio and his videos speak for themselves in terms of what he’s about and how he is as a coach."

On his expectations for the spring game: “I’m expecting to see a bunch of energy. I know it’s like that NFL, with a huge crowd, so I’m sure it’s going to be a good environment. The fans are hitting me up and showing me love. I try not to get too caught up into it but it’s exciting. I like the recognition.”
