3-Star Safety close to a decision

Safety prospect Andrew Shanle, from St. Edward, Nebraska still has the same two offers, but will there be another on its way for him?
The 6-foot-1, 185 pound safety is the younger brother of Scott Shanle, who started for Nebraska this past season. However, that does not make him a lock for Nebraska.

"He (Scott) is not putting any pressure on me. He tells me what I need to know, but he doesn't push me."
His first offer came from Iowa State and Nebraska recently followed with their offer.
"Not yet," Andrew Shanle said about deciding between his two offered schools.
Iowa State wants him for full scholarship this fall.
"I just heard now that the secondary coach (Iowa State) left and he went to Kansas State. He was not my recruiter, but he talked to me quite a bit. He (Bob Elliott) is going to be the defensive coordinator for Kansas State."
Nebraska wants him to be a part-time student until January of 2003 and then he would be on full scholarship.
Decision time: "Real soon. I'm not sure when Iowa State will get back to me. I'm going to talk to them about coach Elliott leaving. I'll probably have my decision made up by the time that they call me."
He clearly likes coach Elliott.
"Coach Elliott is really a nice guy and I would love to play for him. It would be hard to go there (Iowa State) and play for somebody that I never met during the recruiting process."
"I got that asked to me tonight by a couple of people," he said about the chances of Kansas State offering him and what he might do. "I have no idea. I would have to take a visit."
