3-star PK Stanford bound

Three star place-kicker/punter Jay Ottovegio (6-0, 190, 4.7) from Fort Lauderdale-St. Thomas Aquinas has arrived home from his visit to Stanford. Ottovegio liked his visit very much and his commitment to the Cardinal could be imminent.
“It was a good trip,” Ottovegio said. “Stanford is definitely my leader. I may commit this week.”

“The reason I didn’t commit on the trip is I wanted to talk it over with my parents and high school,” Ottovegio said. “The only negative about Stanford is the distance from home.”
Ottovegio has already visited Illinois. He was scheduled to visit Kansas State this weekend but he won’t be making that trip.
Ottovegio currently has offers from Stanford, Kansas State, Illinois, Colorado State, and San Diego State.
Georgia Tech and UCF are trying to get Ottovegio to visit.
Ottovegio is one of the best dual place-kicker/punters in the nation. “Initially at Stanford I will punt,” Ottovegio said. “Eventually I will do both.”
Ottovegio finished his senior year at St. Thomas Aquinas hitting on 10 of 15 field goals with a long of 48. He hit 42 of 44 extra points, and kicked 70 out of 79 kickoffs into or out of the end zone. Ottovegio also averaged 42 yards on 25 punts with 12 downed inside the 20.
For good measure Ottovegio is a finalist for the Riddell Footwear All-American Team (Top 10 kickers in US) which will be announced on January 16th.
