3-star Pennsylvania ATH Rick Squires: Iowa State showing the most "love"

The Latest: Iowa State has a wide net in recruiting under new head coach Matt Campbell, so it's not surprising to see three-star Pennsylvania prospect Rick Squires squarely on the Cyclones radar. Right now, the school is his lone Power Five offer to date, and is clearly the team to beat in his recruitment. Rivals.com caught up with Squires to get the latest.

The Latest: "Iowa State has been showing me the most love. They show a lot of interest and a lot of it is like personal stuff like handwritten letters and phone calls. I was supposed to visit this month but I missed it because of a 7-on-7 tournament. But I will be able to make it before the summer’s over. I definitely plan on visiting. Their new head coach was actually the coach at Toledo so he already recruiting a lot of Western Pennsylvania guys and I think that’s why he started offering guys like me. He’s from there and he knows the area well and knows we can play."

Rivals Reaction: Squires is clearly reciprocating the love for Iowa State but the key will be to watch if and when he makes it to campus. It's not exactly an easy trip so if he makes the effort to do it on his own dime, it could bode well for Iowa State.
