3-star OL Haynes lists Knights as his leader

Niceville (Fla.) High offensive lineman Nick Haynes came to the Florida campus to participate in Friday Night Lights with the hopes of catching the eye of the Gators coaching staff.
After earning a private meet-and-greet with a few staff members following the workouts, its safe to say he accomplished his goal.

"I think I did pretty well and I think I turned some heads," Haynes said. " It was a great experience out there."
The 6-foot-2, 286-pound Haynes was attending his first on-campus event of the summer and said he walked away impressed.
Currently, Haynes has offers from UCF, Marshall and Southern Miss but he's hoping to earn some more as teams become more familiar with him. He projects as a guard in college, but will be playing right tackle for the first time in his career this fall.
"I feel like I have a lot of stuff to prove to people because this is my first year playing right tackle," Haynes said. "I feel like once I get some more games under my belt teams will come start looking for me."
While he's hoping for more attention, Haynes already has a leader in the Knights.
"If I had to pick a school right now it'd be UCF," he said. "Everything was well put together. Everyone was all in and the practice looked fun so it was a great environment to be in."
As far as a timeline for a decision, Haynes said he might wait until after the upcoming season.
"I want to wait and talk with my family," Haynes said. "I don't have a clear-cut place I want to go but if I had to pick one it would be UCF."
