3-star Memphis LB getting SEC interest

Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven linebacker Adam Collins still only holds one offer, but if recent interest is any indicator, the senior is starting to open some eyes across the Southeast.
"Ole Miss is showing a lot of interest right now," said the three-star Collins. "Memphis is also interested and Cincinnati is the only offer I have and they're still showing interest."

Collins is one of the stalwarts on the Whitehaven defense that has helped propel the school to a 7-0 record this season. As the starting middle linebacker, Collins helps lead a defense that includes 3-star Vanderbilt commit Darrius Sims.
"I'm doing the same thing I did last year," Collins said. "I'm trying to carry my team to state once again and just do a little extra because it's a tough road back."
With Cincinnati in pursuit of Collins for the longest amount of time, he said he's likely to take an official visit to the school at sometime this fall.
"I'm thinking about taking a visit," Collins said "I've been talking to the coaches about scheduling a visit. I want to get up there and see how it is and see if I like it or not."
Collins has yet to take an unofficial visit this fall, but with the Rebels now making a push, he said he's trying to schedule a trip to Oxford.
"I'm trying to get down to Ole Miss soon," Collins said. "I want to see a few different schools before I make my decision.
While interest from Ole Miss has recently picked up, Collins has been on the school's radar since performing well during a camp this summer.
"They've been keeping up with me and my coaches since then," he said. "We've been giving them my film so they can see how I've been playing."
Collins earned all-state honors as a junior after registering 160 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception and two touchdowns as he helped his team to the state championship game.
