3-star LB high on Badgers, but ND in the mix

After a busy spring that saw visits from some of the country's top programs, three-star Seffner (Fla.) Armwood linebacker Jordan Griffin might be ready to start trimming down his list.
"I've just been waiting until the end of the spring evaluation period to really narrow down my list and do some more research," Griffin said. "Now I just want to get everything where I want it to be so I can take some visits this summer."

Griffin has added several offers during the spring evaluation period, but said one in particular excited him the most.
"I was really excited about the Wisconsin offer," he said. "That was a big one for me. Big 10 football is good and I see that they play a lot of good football so that was one that stood out for me."
The combination of program prestige and the potential for early playing time helped the Badgers jump right into the mix.
"I talked to their defensive coordinator and he was telling me that my freshman year they're only going to have one linebacker on scholarship," Griffin said. "Potentially two true freshman are going to have to start that first game against Alabama that season so they're telling me it's a good opportunity for me to come in and play early."
Griffin added that he's planning on visiting Wisconsin this summer.
While the Badgers are clearly in the thick of the race for Griffin, the first school to offer is also still very high on his list.
"UCF was my first offer so of course that's going to stick with me through everything," Griffin said. "I love Coach Callahan and I love UCF as a program. I see they're on the rise so I love that school too."
Another school starting to show interest in Griffin is Notre Dame. The Irish were by to evaluate him this spring and he said he's planning a trip north in the near future.
"I'm going to visit Notre Dame this summer for sure," he said. "That's one school that's been on my radar that I hope to get up and see this summer. Coach Tony Alford, we've been having good contact over Twitter and he's come down as well so we've been talking a good bit."
Despite impressing at practice, Griffin said he knows he'll have to do it again at camp for the Irish to pull the trigger on an offer.
"I'm going to go up there and visit and meet the defensive staff," he said. "Then show them a few things; I'll probably camp and show them what I can do."
