3-Star LB Brandon Hawkins wants to turns upcoming visits to offers
DALLAS, Tex. -- Teams in need of a versatile linebacker in Texas have frequently been taking a shot on Georgetown three-star linebacker Brandon Hawkins.
Hawkins was a recent participant at the Dallas stop of the Rivals Three Stripe Camps presented by Adidas and showed his stuff against some of the best in the state. His speed and range are the obvious attractions to the teams that have offered him this spring and he put them to good use at the camp.
He’s also beginning to add Power Five offers, with his first coming from Indiana on March 24. Although Boise State isn’t technically in that realm, his Broncos offer is a big one nonetheless. Now with some momentum on the recruiting trail, he is hoping that upcoming visits to Oklahoma State (April 15) and Missouri will result in offers as well.

“I just started talking to them, I hadn’t talked to them much before this week,” he said. “They talked to my coach and said that they thought I would fit in great with their team and in their locker room.”
“I’m not a person that’s huge on staying close to home,” he said. “That’s a great program that beats some Power Five teams every season. I’m going to try and get out there early in June.”
On Indiana
“The most interesting thing with them is the opportunity to play early,” he said. “I had a teammate [Beau Corrales] that went up there last year that was offered and he was considering going there. He really liked it up there … He said that it was a great family-feel with the team and everyone gets along – that they’re close.”
RIVALS REACTION
Hawkins is a solid linebacker that can really put a pop on a guy when he gets him lined up. At his appearance in the Rivals camp earlier this month, he impressed with his size so the ingredients of a solid college linebacker are all there. He'll continue looking for some big offers over the summer and that could begin with those visits to Oklahoma State and Missouri.
