Alonzo Manuel has offers from Louisiana State, Auburn, Texas A&M, Tulane, Southern Mississippi, and Kentucky.
"If I had to sign today, then I guess LSU would have to be the favorite right now," Manuel said.
He has visits set with Texas A&M for Dec. 7, Auburn on Jan. 11 and LSU for Jan.18.
"My top five would be LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M, Southern Mississippi and Tulane," he said.
He has had in home visits from LSU and Tulane so far.
"I'm looking for a good football and engineering programs, the student atmosphere and amiability, coaches that I can talk to and a clean nice looking campus," he said.
Manual said he has been impressed by all of the coaches, but a few coaches do standout.
"Coach Slocum from A&M, Hayward from LSU, Dunn from Auburn and Mahouney from Tulane are all about even as far as impressiveness," he said.
The 6-foot-3, 240 pound defensive end from Jennings, La., had 49 solo tackles, 39 assists, five sacks and five pass tips on his way to being named first team all-district this season.
