3-star DB Miller still high on Ole Miss

At 5-foot-7 and 156 pounds, there are plenty of questions about whether or not Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek defensive back Brian Miller has the size to play big-time college football. But after a strong start to the year, including an excellent showing against 6-foot-2, 220-pound 2016 Rivals250 wide receiver Kyle Davis, Miller is hoping he's starting to answer those questions.
"I have to show schools that I can play physical despite my size and that I will be able to play on Saturdays," said Miller, who has an offer from Ole Miss. "That's all they want to see, my physicality. They know I can cover but they want to see me come up and make plays and I think by midseason I'll have a few more options.

The Rebels have recruited Sandy Creek well in recent years, and already have a commitment from Miller's teammate, Rivals100 running back Eric Swinney. Miller said he's being patient now to see if the Rebels will have a spot for him in their class.
"Right now they have two corners but they're not sure about adding a third to the class," Miller said. "But it's a great atmosphere, I love going up there and having fun, my teammate is committed there and it's a great place to be."
Miller was on hand to watch Ole Miss defeat Boise State in the season-opener and said that while he's high on the Rebels, he's still listening to other programs.
"They are my only offer right now but Kentucky is looking at me heavy," he said. "Louisville and been talking to me and a couple other schools like North Carolina have been showing new interest."
In seven games as a junior in 2013, Miller had six interceptions, two pass deflections, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked field goal.
