3-star CB talks Jackets

Class of 2015 cornerback Meiko Dotson of Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland has more than a dozen offers and one that stands out which he is strongly considering is Georgia Tech.
The 5-foot-9, 173-pound Dotson is being recruited by running backs coach Lamar Owens. Dotson said that of all offering schools, the Jackets are who he communicates with most.

"They said they like me as a player," Dotson said. "They came to my practice and saw me covering the fastest guy on the team. They liked that I could cover speed and they said they want to get me there."
Dotson doesn't have a top five yet, but mentioned schools including Indiana, Iowa State and Wisconsin as schools that are in the mix.
Working in the Jackets' favor is Dotson's family ties in Atlanta and overall fondness for the program.
"My sister is up there," he said. "It's a fit for me. I love the program. Last summer I went on a visit to camp and I think it's a good program."
Dotson said he's considering Georgia Tech, Wisconsin and Indiana as official visit destinations.
"Wisconsin is a big-time program and I like everything about it so far," he said. "I want to see how it is first-hand when I'm there."
Dotson will close his offseason out with Friday Night Lights at Florida. He hopes to decide on where to commit by midseason.
