3-star Alabama LB ready to see South Carolina

Things are starting to pick up for 2015 Smiths (Ala.) Smith Station linebacker Amonte Caban and if everything goes as according to plan, he'll be adding another SEC offer this weekend.
"South Carolina has been talking to me a lot," Caban said. "Coach Botkin said there's a good possibility that if I come up there for junior day that I can get an offer so that's what I'm going to do."

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Caban will be in Columbia this weekend where he hopes to not only add an offer, but also learn more about the Gamecocks program.
"I've never been up there before," Caban said. "I've never even been to the state before. But I like their program, I'm pretty sure they have a good one because they keep having winning seasons."
Caban is also planning more trips for next month, with a Louisville visit scheduled for April 5 and a Kentucky visit set for April 26. The Wildcats recently offered and he's eager to see what Lexington has to offer.
"That was a big one for me," Caban said. "I was happy to get an SEC offer. I don't really know much about them right now but they told me they really want to see me up there. I talk to Coach Ansley a lot and he said they love my film and that's why they're recruiting me."
