3 standing out for Hilton

During the past two weeks, junior athlete Mike Hilton of Tyrone(Ga.) Sandy Creek has seen his offer list triple.
"I have six offers now," Hilton said. "It's been real exciting. I think what helped was the MVP camp [recently in Georgia), where I won top running back."

On Thursday, Western Kentucky became the latest to pull the trigger, joining Buffalo, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Marshall and Southern Miss.
According to Hilton, three programs currently stand out.
"My top three right now are Kentucky, Cincinnati and Marshall," Hilton said. "In that order."
What does Hilton like so much about Kentucky?
"One of my favorite players went there -- Randall Cobb," Hilton said. "They say I have abilities just like him. They say I would replace him very well. And they say there's a good chance I could come in and play as a freshman."
Different schools like Hilton at different positions.
"Kentucky wants me to play running back," Hilton said. "Southern Miss wants me to play corner. Western Kentucky hasn't told me yet. Cincinnati wants me to play running back. Buffalo wants me as a running back and Marshall wants me as a corner. It really doesn't matter to me what I play. I just want to be on the field and help my team out."
Thus far, Hilton has been visited this spring by Cincinnati, Illinois, Memphis and Southern Miss. He is optimistic that more schools will check him out once spring practice begins next week, and that more offers will follow.
"This is what I've been waiting for," Hilton said. "Hopefully, after spring practice more offers will start rolling in."
