3 offers and counting for Reed

Junior cornerback Kalan Reed of Birmingham (Ala.) Briarwood Christian is pleased with the offers he has, but he's confident more are on the way.
And one might be coming any minute now.

"Middle Tennessee told me I'll probably be getting an offer soon," Reed said. "I went to a camp there [Sunday], and I was the best corner there they told me."
Thus far, the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder has offers from Arkansas State, Southern Miss and South Alabama. Additionally, he is hearing from Mississippi State and Tennessee, he said. That's all the more impressive when one considers Reed tore the ACL in his left knee in Week 3 last fall and missed the remainder of the season.
"I actually think I'm better than before," Reed said. "I think I showed [Sunday] I was better. Everything is fine with my knee."
To date, Reed has visited Auburn, Middle Tennessee and Southern Miss.
"It was pretty fun," Reed said of his Middle Tennessee trip. "The coaches were enthusiastic. I liked being out there. We only saw the football areas but I liked it a lot."
What's next for Reed, who claims no leaders at the moment?
"I think I'm going to Mississippi State soon for a camp," he said. "And I'll be going to Arkansas for a tour and a camp."
