23 offers for Florida OL

Dan Koenig is an offensive tackle prospect from the Sunshine State and he just so happens to be one of the hottest prospects from the state of Florida. Koenig, 6-6 and 255 pounds, now has 23 scholarship offers. He's had a big week, netting offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, UConn, Pitt and South Florida.
"It is going really good," Koenig said. "There are a lot of coaches coming through. It seems like I am getting an offer everyday. Auburn offered today and that one is really exciting to me. Missouri was here today and they offered me about a month. I just can't believe what is going on."

Koenig plays for Cape Coral (Fla.) High School. Teammates Jaylen Watkins and Jeremy Davis have committed to Florid and Miami respectively. Another teammate, Spencer Boyd, has scholarship offers from teams like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Stanford and others.
"It's been a lot of fun for all of us. We trade stories and stuff. I can say that between us we have gotten a lot of offers."
Koenig has been busy off the field, has he has had the chance to see quite a few schools already.
"I have seen North Carolina, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Miami, Central Florida, South Florida, and Southern Miss. That has given me a head start on recruiting. I still want to see Ole Miss, Missouri, and Nebraska. I also want to see Oklahoma State and Tennessee again. I am open but those schools kind of standout to me. If Florida were to offer they would be there right too."
Cape Coral is in the middle of spring football practice. They play Charlotte on May 21st in their spring game.
"I have gotten a lot better at run blocking. I am quicker off the ball and better at getting to the second level. I am taking better steps. I am working on some things in pass set."
