Arkansas has dipped into one of the strongest Texas programs for their newest commitment.

Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Nigel Pringle has committed to the Razorbacks, he announced Monday evening.

Pringle chose Arkansas over offers from the likes of Kansas, Houston, Oregon, UCF, and others.

Pringle spoke with Rivals to break down his decision to pledge to the Razorbacks.

The opportunity to play in the SEC was naturally a strong pull but the people in the building were the driving factor for his decision.

"The relationships over there, man. The whole coaching staff made it feel like I was already there. From the players to me talking to coach (Deron) Wilson, coach (Travis) Williams, everybody there, they were very vocal about me and I've been still keeping in contact with those guys. Almost every day those guys hit me up. Coach (Sam) Pittman, he always calls and checks on me. When the hurricane came through [Houston], they called, checked on me, asked how I was doing. Those guys, they're like family."

When the process was in the final stages, there were a couple of schools in the running, but after some family deliberation, they quickly realized Arkansas was the right choice.

"My family talked about where could I actually see myself playing at and how could I see myself fit into the scheme. If felt being comfortable there or would I be more homesick than anything? And I was just said 'nah, man, those guys, they're genuine. They're real and they're home felt guys."

Pringle joins an Arkansas class that ranks as the No. 46 class in the 2025 recruiting team rankings. He is the second defensive back in the class and the 17th total commitment.
