IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"Pittsburgh is a very competitive program, especially in the ACC," Williams said. "The coaches are awesome. I got to talk to one of them and I can’t wait to visit. I talked to coach sanders and we talked about this upcoming week and about the offer.

"I’ve been contacted by Penn State, Notre Dame, and Rice," he said. "I went to Penn State for a camp in the summer but unfortunately I haven’t been able to visit the actual school yet."

RIVALS' REACTION...

This is just the beginning for Williams. His offer sheet is going to grow to double digits before he knows it. Pitt will look smart by offering him first and the hope for Pat Narduzzi and his staff is that Williams will remember that when it comes time for his commitment.

The film from the start of Williams' junior year has gotten the attention of coaches from the East Coast to the Midwest. For those that love to talk about dual-sport athletes, Williams checks that box too. Williams posted impressive results throwing the discus (176-2) and shot put (52-3) at a district meet in this spring.
