THE LATEST: Jaylon Glover hasn’t played a down of his sophomore season, but he already has a handful of scholarship offers from FBS programs. The class-of-2022 running back is in no rush to make a commitment or to narrow things down, but he doesn’t mind tossing out the names of programs in which he already has a strong interest. Below, the Lake Gibson (Fla.) High School star talks early frontrunners and what the year ahead may hold.

IN HIS WORDS

ON OFFERS THAT STAND OUT:

“Right now, I’m liking Kentucky, UCF and I’m in between Georgia Tech and Iowa State”

ON POSSIBLE SUMMER VISITS:

"Right now, I’m wide eyed, but I want to go see Kentucky this summer. I like what I know about Kentucky and I watched."

ON FORMER KENTUCKY RUNNING BACK BENNY SNELL:

“Man, he’s a great back. I watched him there, I really like what they did with him up there and how they used him.”

ON IOWA STATE:

"I was actually kind of shocked when they offered because I really didn’t know how they knew about me, so I want to know more about them for sure. I have to contact them soon to talk more because they really can’t contact me."

ON GEORGIA TECH:

"They actually talked to my dad the other day, so I liked that. They were telling him that Georgia Tech would love to have me there and all that. They like my style of play and love my size. They think I’m a nice fit for them. That’s a great academic school, too. I was up there for, like a mentorship thing, once and saw it but I’m trying to get back for, like, a football visit."

ON SCHOOLS THAT MAY BE CLOSE TO OFFERING:

"I hear from West Virginia and USF a lot. We’ll see where it goes with them. I talk to Georgia, too.”
