THE LATEST: Class-of-2022 defensive tackle Fitzgerald West holds just two scholarship offers, but his offer list has roughly the same chance of staying at two as the Boston Braves have of winning the 2019 World Series. Right now, only Colorado and Tulane have made things official, however. Below, the 320-pound prospect talks about those offers as well mutual interest with booth LSU and Georgia.

IN HIS WORDS

On Colorado:

“I don't really know much about them yet. They just offered. We haven’t really talked that much, but I want to get to know more for sure.”

On Tulane:

“I know that’s a good school. It’s also the home school. With them I know it’s about keeping my grades up and getting the ACT score.”

On other schools involved :

“Every school is looking at me t be honest.”

On the school he wants to attend:

“I’d say LSU, Auburn or Georgia. I really, really like Georgia.”

On UGA:

I just love the coach -- Tray Scott. He treats me like family. I took a visit there and I loved it. He just tells me to stay on my grind and everything is going to come.”

ON LSU:

“They told me they were going to offer me, but they haven’t yet. I think it’s coming for sure, though.”

RIVALS REACTION: If West, who already checks in at over 300 pounds, avoids adding bad weight as he ages, he’ll have plenty of offers from which to choose. Auburn, Georgia and LSU seem like safe bets to shoot to the top of his list should any of the schools offer. That said, it’s silly to try to predict his landing spot so far before he’ll sign a letter of intent.
