Warner Robins High School is rolling over 5A Georgia teams producing a 7-1 record with an eye towards the playoffs. The Demons are racking up 242.6 passing yards per game with an average of 45.7 points per contest going up on the board thanks to the contributed talents of Daveon Walker.

In stats posted through seven games, Walker leads his squad in receptions (41), yards (785) and receiving scores (8). The production on the field is pushing the senior standout up recruiting boards.

Holding offers from South Alabama, Pitt, Liberty, Alabama State and Vanderbilt, Walker reports interest from Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Tulane, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.

Regardless which D-I coach is on the other side of the line, the feedback Walker receives is the same.

“Coaches are telling me that I am a versatile player that can go deep and catch a screen or bubble pass taking it to the house.”

Getting a late bump in the recruiting process, college programs are bringing the 2022 prospect on campus for an in-person evaluation. Visits have been taken to Georgia, South Alabama and Vanderbilt.

Walker shared insight on his time in Athens, “That visit went well. It was packed, and it was nice there.”

Details by Walker were given on time spent talking with the Georgia coaches, “The coaches were saying I look bigger in person, because I look quick and smaller on film. They said they would follow up with me in the coming weeks. I may have an offer from them soon if I keep doing my thing.”

Saturday was spent in Nashville with the Commodores for the Mississippi State affair. Walker previewed what he wanted out of the visit stating, “I want to check out the coaches to see how they interact with the players.”

Walker checked in after the visit sharing, “The people down there are fun and down to earth people.”
