2022 Georgia ATH Daniel Martin talks Tennessee

The state of Georgia has produced its share of top-notch defensive backs prospects in recent years and it doesn't appear the Peach State is going to stop churning out top talent anytime soon. That's why it's important for schools from around the SEC to get into the state early and find talent. One of the prospects identified early by Tennessee in the Class of 2022 is Marietta, Ga. athlete Daniel Martin. The Vols were the first Power Five program to offer Martin and have already hosted him for a visit. Rivals.com caught up with Martin to talk about his recruitment and his experience on Rocky Top

"I have offers from FAU, Tennessee and UNC-Charlotte right now."

Tennessee: "I got the offer from Tennessee during the spring. They came by the school when we were practicing and after that my coach let me know I had the offer."

June camp visit: "I went up there for their camp in June. It went really well. They have a new defensive coordinator who works with the defensive backs, Coach Ansley, and he's really good. That was my first big college camp and it was good being there knowing I had an offer"

Feedback: "He was just telling me that he liked my size and he liked my footwork and just keep working and getting better. I really liked Coach Ansley's coaching style. He taught me a lot and I learned a lot from him.

Campus: "I got to walk around see all their athletic facilities plus see some of their academic stuff. It was really nice."

Other schools in the mix: "I grew up a Georgia fan and I visited there for a camp last month. They've been talking to me and they're just waiting to see some more film of me on varsity."
