2021 standout Shadrach Banks liking the Aggies early on

ARLINGTON, Tex. – 2021 athlete Shadrach Banks might not be the most engaging personality just yet, but when he’s on the field, he’s hard to miss.

He turned in one of the more impressive performances at the Houston event of the Rivals 3 Stripe Camps presented by adidas and he was back at it last Saturday at Under Armour’s Prime 21 camp at Arlington-Martin High School. After having one of the more impressive outings there, he said he’s ready to carry things over into his sophomore campaign this fall.

“I’ve got a lot of confidence for the season,” he said. “I feel like it’s going to be a good season – a breakout season.”

Banks is part of a North Shore lot that has collectively accumulated an impressive amount of offers this past spring and summer. With ten of his own already, a few in particular catch the eye, including Miami, Tennessee and USC to name a few. For now, he said things have been relatively quiet with those programs, but all are sure to keep an eye on him as he gears up for this season.

On Alabama

“I’ve only talked to them when they offered me, I haven’t talked to them since,” he said. “They wanted me to come out to their camp this summer, but I was out at the Manning [Passing Academy] camp … I want to get there eventually, I haven’t really been to go see any of the colleges that have offered me yet.”

On Texas A&M, where he camped last month

“I got a chance to talk to the coaches, but I didn’t get a chance to get a good look at the campus,” he said. “I talked to Coach (Jimbo) Fisher, and he’s cool. I really like him.”
