THE LATEST

Class of 2021 Colorado defensive lineman Brayden Wood has been a busy man this spring, with visits to Nebraska, Michigan, Colorado and several other programs. Last month, he made his way to the Carolinas to participate in the Rivals Camp Series stop in Charlotte, and take in some new programs as well. Rivals.com caught up with Wood to talk about his southern swing, as well as his continued flirtation with Clemson.

IN HIS WORDS

"I came down to see my brother who plays baseball at Furman and I visited Duke and North Carolina while I was here.. I haven’t gotten an offer but had some great talks with the coaches and they going to come see me this spring and we will go from there."

On Clemson: "They’re the school that’s showing me the most love right now. I’ve been down there 4-5 times, especially since my brother is about 30 minutes away. We have a good relationship with one of the graduate assistants there as well. I have gotten to know Coach Bates and Coach Hall and Coach Venables pretty well."

On waiting for an offer: "I don’t think they’ve offered a defensive lineman in my grade yet. Coach Vendables said I will get offered when they start doing it so to meet with him face-to-face and have him say that means a lot."

On additional upcoming visits: "I've got visits to Cal and Stanford coming up. I want to visit Oregon in the spring or summer, too."
