2020 Rivals100 safety Lejond Cavazos discusses busy spring
COPPELL, Tex. -- Just a little more than a year removed from capturing the imagination of a handful of top programs from around the country with outstanding camp performances following his freshman season, Lejond Cavazos is back at it again.
Now at IMG, he holds upwards of 20 offers and doesn’t look as though he’s done yet. At the beginning of March, Cavazos took a quick visit to Clemson following a stop at Georgia at the end of February. The Bulldogs have been in his catalogue of offers for some time now, and he believes that the Tigers will be soon after he makes it back on campus.
“I didn’t get a chance to speak with Dabo (Swinney),” he said. “They told me that I have to call him, but he should be coming down to my school sometime in April … The visit was great. It’s a beautiful campus, it’s so modern - I was in shock. I loved the dorms, they looked just like apartments.”
Cavazos was at Texas A&M this past week and also has April visits scheduled for Ohio State and Miami. While he made an appearance at the Dallas event of the Rivals 3 Stripe Camps presented by adidas, he wasn’t able to compete following an injury from the day before at a track meet.
