2020 quarterback Ken Seals wasted no time getting his spring tour of schools started fresh off his MVP performance at the Dallas event of the Rivals 3 Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas two weekends ago.

Since then, he’s made stops at TCU and Oklahoma State, and has his sights set on making trips to LSU and Georgia in the coming weeks. After checking out Cowboys and Horned Frogs practices, he’s gotten some pretty good perspective on what he could potentially expect from a future with either program.

“Both were really beautiful campuses,” he said. “Both teams have very similar coaching techniques, but both styles of play I feel fit me very well.”

Seals paid careful attention on Tuesday to how the offense was running under offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich, who said that he is planning on stopping by to see Seals during the spring. The Weatherford quarterback also said that he’s looking forward to a return to Oklahoma State in the summer.

IN HIS WORDS

“The visit went great,” he said. “After getting a tour of the facilities and some of the campus, I sat in on another meeting with [Yurcich] and the quarterbacks. Once we left, I watched the offense do its thing on the field and Coach Yurcich as he called the players.”

On his meeting with Mike Gundy

“At the end of practice, Coach Gundy and I talked about our upcoming seasons and spring ball,” he said. “He told me that he’s keeping up with me on social media and in the news, and wished me the best.”

“The biggest highlight was probably having Andy Dalton walk in the middle of a meeting I was in and sitting next to me going over the offense,” he said. “Afterwards, we went outside where I got to watch the team practice and scrimmage. Watching those quarterbacks go through their drills and against the defense made me that much more excited for my own spring ball to start.”

RIVALS REACTION

The word is out on Seals at this point and it just seems to be a matter of time before the big offers will start coming in. TCU offensive coordinator Sonny Cumbie also told Seals that he plans on making a pass by Weatherford once spring football gets underway there. As coaches all make plans to come and follow up with him, he seems all the more close to pulling in a few before the summer.
