2020 DL Dominic Bailey's recruitment is off and running

Maryland started Dominic Bailey's recruitment off with an offer a few months ago but now the Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico star has picked up offers from Rutgers, Georgia, and Penn State within the last two days. Bailey explained what all four offers mean to him.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

"I was very happy about the Rutgers offer," Bailey said. "People from my high school have gone to Rutgers. One of them was my basketball coach. I know they have good football and we’re going to go up and visit them. We’ll see what the program is all about.

"Georgia is a big school," he said. "I was really happy about that offer. I thought I could end up getting these types of offers but I didn’t know when it would happen. They called my coach and my coach told me about the offer. I know Georgia has a good football program. They’ve always had good football. I don’t know any of the coaches or players. I should be talking to one of the coaches soon.

"Maryland was my first offer," said Bailey. "That's an offer I always wanted. It’s Maryland and it’s where I’m from. I went up there a couple months ago. It’s a good school and I really like the new facilities. I talked to the defensive line coach and the head coach.

"I know that Penn State is always a football powerhouse and it's a good school to attend," he said. "I've talked to Tyler Bowen before. He's a good guy. He just wants the best for me and he wants me to come up there to see the school."

RIVALS' REACTION…

Bailey is in the process of blowing up and it wouldn't be surprising if he added another offer or two in the next couple days. His size, power, and aggressiveness are very impressive and he's been a dominant player at the high school level. Bailey's recruitment has yet to really take shape so keep an eye on which schools pull the trigger within the next week or two.
