IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I was hoping for a Notre Dame offer, so it is a huge offer to have one now," said Tyson. "I was up there for Junior Day in the spring and I camped there at the Irish Invasion in the summer.

"I like how cool the campus felt and I loved Touchdown Jesus. Another thing that stood out was how easy it was to learn the campus. When you walk around the campus, you feel the tradition. I am going to try to get up there for a game this season now.

"My great grandfather (Bear Bryant) never beat them, but my dad tells me how much he respected them. He has told me about all the great games they played.

"Notre Dame is in my top schools. At this time, my favorites are schools that are a good fit for me and for the schools. My offers are Jacksonville State, Kentucky, Army, Connecticut, Duke, NC State, Oregon, USC, Pittsburg and Notre Dame.

"I have been to games this year Duke, NC State, Alabama and I will be at Kentucky this weekend, then Florida next weekend."

RIVALS REACTION: Tyson's recruiting is really picking up and he is off to a great start this season. He is 65-82 for 949 yards and 11 touchdown passes. He has thrown one interception. His stock is on the rise and he is on track to be one of the top signal callers in the South for the class of 2019. This offer is a big one for Tyson, and he is going to take a long, hard look at Notre Dame.
