2019 Georgia prospects shine at True19 All-Star Tryout

The True19 Georgia vs. Texas Showdown is set for January 2017, but this past Sunday some of the best Class of 2019 prospects turned out in Atlanta for Team Georgia tryouts. While many of the names are unknowns to recruiting fans at the moment, several will be stars in the near future. Here's a breakdown of the players who impressed.

Recruiting Wrap: Bailey is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: As the son of former college and NFL star defensive back Champ Bailey, it should come as no surprise that Keevan Bailey has some talent. Despite being relativley thin, he showed terrific hands and excellent leaping ability when high-pointing passes. With his skill set, it's easy to see Bailey translating to either side of the ball at the next level.

Recruiting Wrap: Blaylock has one of the most impressive offer lists of any sophomore in the country, with Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and several others already having offered.

Performance: There's a reason so many schools have taken a shine to Blaylock and it's because of his combination of shiftiness and sure hands. Blaylock is smooth as a runner and he almost never drops a ball. As he develops, he will need to continue to add weight to his relatively thin frame.

Recruiting Wrap: Glenn is waiting for his first offer.

Performance: Glenn is still learning the craft of being a linebacker but he stood out above the rest of the prospects at the position. Depending on how much he grows, Glenn could end up being an ideal "star" type player at the next level.

Recruiting Wrap: Jackson is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: Jackson doesn't see a ton of playing time for a loaded Grayson team, but when his time comes there's no doubt he has the potential to be an excellent wide receiver. He has size that most schools covet and showed good competitiveness while fighting for reps at the event. Jackson's offer list won't stay blank for long.

Recruiting Wrap: Jones is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: Jones is another player without much varsity experience but who looks the part of a future Power Five prospect. He moves very well for player his size and could develop into a guard or tackle down the road.

Recruiting Wrap: Lowe is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: Cartersville has had its share of talented players over the years and it looks like Lowe could be another future Power Five player out of the program. He has ideal size and good hands and should only continue to improve as his high school career moves along.

Recruiting Wrap: McCorkle is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: McCorkle is a versatile defensive back who could end up playing corner or safety at the next level. His versatility is likely what will help make him more appealing to colleges down the road. He still needs to refine his technique, but has a lot of attributes that coaches look for in prospects at the position.

Recruiting Wrap: McLendon has early offers from Florida, Tennessee and others non-Power Five programs.

Performance: Tucker High School has produced its share of stars over the years and McLendon appears to be the next big name out of the program. At 6-foot-4 and 225-plus pounds, schools from all over the country will be lining up with offers before long.

Recruiting Wrap: Morris is waiting on his first offer

Performance: Morris stood out among the lineman group for this ability to move fluidly despite being one of the tallest prospects in attendance. He carries his 260 pounds very well and looks like could easily bulk up to close to 300 pounds without losing much of his athleticism. Morris is on a loaded high school team and it has limited his playing time, but coaches won't wait long before the offers start rolling in.

Recruiting Wrap: Auburn, Louisville and South Carolina are among the early offers from Mwikuta.

Performance: A growth spurt has helped Mwikuta grow from a safety as a freshman to a very athletic outside linebacker. If things keep going in the same direction, he could grow into a pass-rushing defensive end. In terms of pure physical ability, Mwikuta was one of the most impressive prospects at any position at the event.

Recruiting Wrap: Roach is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: There's no doubt Roach is undersized, but it was hard to find a more dynamic wideout at the event. He not only turned the heads of the event's coaches, but of his fellow competitors as well. Even if he doesn't get taller, Roach can fill out his frame and turn into an effective slot receiver.

Recruiting Wrap: Taylor is waiting for his first offer.

Performance: Taylor is a versatile athlete that choose to work out with the quarterbacks on Sunday and while he's still pretty raw as a passer in terms of mechanics, it's clear arm talent is there. Taylor was especially impressive when throwing on the move and he looks like the type of prospect that could

Recruiting Wrap: Thornton is waiting on his first offer.

Performance: With the skills he has it's easy to think that if Thornton were from the Atlanta-metro area, he would already have a few offers on his list. He has ideal size for a safety and plays both ways for his high school team. Depending on how he develops, Thornton could grow into a linebacker.

Recruiting Wrap: Walker has early offers from Alabama and Georgia.

Performance: Walker is another player who already looks the part of a major college prospect and obviously having the Tide and the Bulldogs already on his list only furthers that line of thinking. Walker moves well for a player his size and could end up being one of top players at his position if he continues to develop.

Recruiting Wrap: Watson has offers from Tennessee, Nebraska, Vanderbilt and several others.

Performance: Watson was not only one of the most physically impressive defensive backs but also one of the most talented. As he continues to grow it looks more and more like his future might be as a safety rather than a cornerback. Either way, he has fluid hips and the ability to turn and run with wide receivers.
