2018 Rivals100 DB Myles Sims talks Georgia

The Latest: While most of the top rising seniors in the state of Georgia were participating in the Georgia-specific all-star games, Class of 2018 defensive back Myles “Spider” Sims was in Orlando to show his skills with some of the nation’s elite underclassmen as part of the Under Armour Future 50 event. While Sims is soft-spoken on the field his play on the field spoke volumes as he drew praise from the coaches at the event, including NFL legend Deion Sanders. While Sims has a list of offers that includes national programs, Georgia fans are hoping he stays close to home. Rivals.com caught up with him to talk about the Bulldogs and his thoughts on the program.

In His Words: “Most of my friends are fans of Georgia so when I got that offer they hit me up to tell me congratulations and things like that so that felt good. They waited a while to offer me but I think they wanted to see my first few games because during the summer they liked me but they wanted some more film. After the first few games they saw what I can do and they wanted to give me the offer. My teammate Jaden Hunter is going there and he’s already recruiting me so it will be fun to see how that goes. I was up there for the Tennessee game and it was a good experience – until the fourth quarter. I’m going to take a long look at them and see how things go in the spring.”

Rivals Reaction: As mentioned above, Sims has a list of offers that most Class of 2017 prospects would be jealous of. But Georgia has just as good of a shot as anyone and it will be important to see when and where Sims visits in the coming weeks and months. Schools like Michigan and Notre Dame are working to get him on campus and his visit schedule could be telling within it comes to his recruitment down the road.
