Tyrone Lewis ()

The Latest: Class of 2018 Louisiana defensive back prospect Tyrone Lewis has been waiting for his opportunity to shine and he has spent this offseason impressing college coaches at various camps and events. Now that Lewis has shown his talent, he's hoping the scholarship offers start to fall into place. One of the schools that appears closest to offering is Southern Miss. Rivals.com caught up with Lewis to talk about the Eagles and when he thinks an offer might come his way.

In His Words: "I’ve visited Southern Miss, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. We went up to Southern Miss for a 7-on-7 and that was my first trip there. Southern Miss talked to me and wanted me to come back up for a visit. They told me they were impressed with me because I was going out there and competing with seniors and showing them that I’m not scared. Now they want to come check me out in a game and see how I look there since they liked me in a camp. On the visit I got to see their campus and I thought it was nice. I like their stadium. It was beautiful and they treated us really well up there. I just want to keep pushing myself and work hard to make sure an offer comes soon."

Rivals Reaction: Lewis comes from a school known for producing talent and it already on the radar of several schools, including Southern Miss. Once he has some quality game film from his junior season, expect several programs to join his offer sheet.
