The Latest: Like most underclassman quarterbacks, Class of 2018 prospect Kolbe Langhi is making the rounds to college campuses, working out and throwing in front of college coaches. But the 6-foot-5, 220-pound got a pleasant surprise after throwing at Alabama on Tuesday. Instead of just throwing, shaking hands and going home, Langhi had the opportunity to do an extended workout for Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and then was invited to tour campus following the impressive throwing session. While he didn't leave campus with an offer, it's clear he's not firmly on the Tide's radar.
In His Words: "I went to Alabama today and threw in front of Coach Kiffin on campus. Then I got a tour around the campus with basically the VIP treatment. They seemed to be very interested and it was a great day overall and I got to watch the team workout and all that good stuff. The coach who recruits my area said that I still have a lot of time to be recruited and that I fit their style and that they hope to see me progress but they were very impressed."
Rivals Reaction: Langhi is still waiting on his first offer but it won't be long before he catches the eye of a coaching staff. After his trip to visit the Tide, Langhi is scheduled to visit Wake Forest, Duke, Vanderbilt and North Carolina. It would be surprising to see him get through the summer without at least a few offers on his list.
