The Latest: Class of 2018 quarterback Zach Lewis has spend the better part of the summer auditioning for college coaches and according to him, several schools are starting to show interest. Among them is Washington State, an in-state option that definitely has Lewis' attention. Rivals.com caught up with him to get the latest on his recruitment and find out when an offer from the Cougars might be on the way.
In His Words: " I loved the campus when I visited. I love Wazzu. It's super nice. I love the coaching staff, too. The interest from Washington State is pretty strong. It's really just my first three games of film that they are waiting to see. This will be my first year as a full-time starter. We won state in back-to-back years and I was behind a four-year starter so they like me throwing in person they just want to see starter tape of me. They want to see a full game. It's like that with a lot of schools. It's hard for them to offer without true tape of me as a starter."
Rivals Reaction: Lewis is on the radar of several FBS programs, including UNLV, Nevada and Tennessee. Like he said, it's always tough to pick up offers without solid film, so his performance on the field during his junior year will go a long way toward earning him scholarship offers going forward.
