The Latest: Class of 2018 defensive tackle Robert Cooper has spent the spring collecting several offers, but while some schools are very high on the big-bodied defensive tackle, others are waiting to slim down from his current weight of 375 pounds. His list already includes plenty of impressive programs, including Michigan, Michigan State, Florida State and South Carolina. Cooper said plenty of other programs, such as Georgia and Alabama, are hoping to get him on campus to camp in order to potentially earn an offer. He plans a busy summer of visits, with those schools and several others on his list.
In His Words: "Most schools are waiting on me to get down in weight because they don't want to take that risk. I do have more loyalty to the schools that have already offered because they know and they trust me to get that weight down and they took that risk with me."
On which team is standing out: "Florida State. It's like a second home to me, really. I talk to Coach Graham and Coach Haggins. I love them, they're both good dudes."
Rivals Reaction: Cooper has made tremendous strides over the past few months as he continues to reshape his body while not losing any of the strength and power that makes him such a tough player to block.
