The Latest: Class of 2018 quarterback Jalen Mayden already has double-digit offers, including Ohio State, Oregon State, Utah and several others. But during a recent trip to the Southeast, which included trips to Georgia, Clemson and Auburn, Mayden received plenty of attention from some of the Southeast's top programs. According to Mayden, the one-on-one time he got with the Auburn coaches caught his attention and it appears as if the Tigers are close to joining the other schools on his offer list. Rivals.com caught up with Mayden talk Auburn.

In His Words: "I really like how they can develop quarterbacks. Obviously Cam Newton went there and look what he's doing now. They really know how to use quarterbacks like me who can do both, throw and run. Cam is a guy I model my game after. When I was on campus I really liked it. I spent a lot of time talking Coach Lashlee. We really got to talk about how their offense works and the things we talked about are some of the same things we talk about with my high school's offense. I got a good feeling. Their offense is a spread and it's similar to ours and I think I would be a good fit. He told me that their offense can change and they mold it to the quarterback they have. Like when they had Nick Marshall they were more of a hurry up and he ran it more himself, this past year they changed things and tried to throw it a little more down the field. I like that they are willing to try new things."

Rivals Reaction: Mayden's older brother signed with Alabama in February so if he were to join him in the SEC it would bring a whole new meaning to the term "sibling rivalry." While some 2018 quarterbacks are in a hurry to announce a decision, it's clear Mayden is taking his time and weighing all of his options. Even if an offer from Auburn doesn't come, Mayden will still have several more options before it's all said and done.
