The Latest: Class of 2018 four-star Louisiana defensive back Kelvin Joseph has been committed to his hometown school LSU for quite a while, but now he said he's ready to get out and see how some other programs stack up. Joseph recently chatted with Rivals.com and said he has several trips on the docket, including one to the Tigers SEC West rival Alabama.

In His Words: "Other schools are still reaching out, Mississippi State and Alabama have been the most active. I’m going to Alabama later this month. I’ll be there for the camp. I’ve been to LSU a lot but I want to see what Alabama has to offer. I want them to make it feel way better than LSU makes me feel and that might be hard because I’m already at home in Baton Rouge. I don’t know what could change my mind. I'm taking other trips because I want to know that I made the right choice. So I want to keep my options open a little bit. I’m going to try to visit Ole Miss and Mississippi State, too, and I’ll be at the LSU camp later this month."

Rivals Reaction: LSU recently lost two 2018 commitments because they both felt like they joined the fold too early and limited their options. While Joseph isn't to that stage yet, it's clear he wants to take a look around to make sure he made the right choice. LSU fans don't have anything to worry about for now but it's clear they will have to fend off several schools before it's all said and done.
