2017 R100 DB Jones recaps Southern swing

Deon Jones already has an extensive offer sheet and is focused on doing research on each school that has shown interest in him. The 2017 Rivals100 defensive back from Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll recently took a series of three unofficial visits to Alabama, Auburn and Clemson.
"I really liked Alabama," said the 6-foot-1, 177-pound Jones. "I like how Nick Saban coaches the defensive backs coach and they also have another defensive back coach that came in. I like the facilities and the people down there so you a lot of love. Alabama wants me to come back down for camp this summer.

"Auburn was pretty much the same thing," he said. "The people inside the building showed me love. I like their facilities too. What I really liked was Coach T-Rob. I have an offer from Auburn.
"I loved Clemson," Jones said. "Coach Mike is a good guy and I like coach Venables too. When I first got on campus I felt at home. The vibe is good down there. I talked to the coaches for a little bit and they basically told me to keep doing what I'm doing."
The next step for Jones is to continue taking visits to find out what he likes.
"I'm thinking about going up to Penn State but I'm not sure when," he said. "I'll probably get up there during the summertime. I also want to get to Ohio State too."
Jones is a member of the initial 2017 Rivals100 Watch List.
