2017 QB raves about Cal

Tyler Lytle made another trip to Cal this weekend and even though the Golden Bears lost to USC the 2017 three-star quarterback had an excellent visit with his parents and he said it will be one of his favorites as his recruitment moves forward. Many others are getting involved all the time but there's no question that Cal impressed the Anaheim (Calif.) Servite quarterback a great deal.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Lytle still has some time to make a decision but Cal is clearly one of the favorites. Miami has also stood out early in his recruitment but with the coaching turnover there it would be tough to see him looking at the Hurricanes until that situation is settled. After the weekend visit to Berkeley, the Golden Bears are definitely in great shape.
IN HIS WORDS: "I loved it. I made the trip this time with my parents. We all walked away extremely impressed and felt it would be in my top few schools when it comes to decision time. Coaches all spent time talking to us about what it means to be a Cal Bear both athletically and academically. The game-day atmosphere was awesome. Cal definitely had a family feel to it. As far as committing, I will be making a college decision between December and the end of spring ball."
RIVALS' REACTION: This is all good news for Cal. The only other serious competition at this point might be Washington State but with the academic and athletic mix in Berkeley it looks like the Golden Bears are the team to beat for Lytle. With a decision coming in the next few months, Cal is looking good.
